From olive and walnut wood to VittEr, PaperStone, Corian and Micarta composites: the materials behind our home & kitchenware, all food-contact approved. -1

Wood holds no secrets for us, yet we offer so much more.

Solid wood species, wood-based and composite materials, and the ones we develop from scratch when nothing on the market fits your product.

Start with wood

The material we were born with

In the world of kitchen and home, wood has always played a key role, adding warmth and a pleasant tactile feel to tableware and kitchen utensils.

Minelli has the expertise to work with all wood species used in this sector: from widely available European varieties, FSC-certified or not, to rare and premium exotic woods.

With countless options suitable for kitchen and outdoor use, combined with a wide variety of finishes, the possibilities become virtually endless, allowing the final product to fully embody its intended essence.

Finishes, food contact & hygiene

Wood is not the hygiene problem in your kitchen. Plastic is.

Wood is a living material: its fibres draw moisture, and the bacteria with it, away from the surface, where they dry out and die. A knife-scarred plastic board does the opposite: every cut becomes a wet groove where bacteria settle and stay.

We pair precision craftsmanship with advanced finishing solutions that ensure long-lasting protection for the wood and uphold the highest standards of quality and safety for the final consumer: food-contact approved by design.

Antibacterial treatments
Food-grade waxes, oils and lacquers that protect without sealing the wood dead.
Wood + steel by design
Stainless plates and inserts where the blade works, warm wood where the hand does.
Composites when needed
Non-porous, waterproof, dishwasher safe: VittEr® and PaperStone®.

& Beyond

Ask for a material study

At Minelli Group, flexibility is at the heart of our approach. Beyond our expertise in wood, we work with a wide range of non-wood materials, including those developed internally, to meet the unique needs of our clients.

Every project is 100% custom, guided by an in-depth understanding of the aesthetic, functional and production requirements of the final product. No two solutions are alike: each is tailored to create components as distinctive as the brands we serve.

Collaborating closely with clients and partners, we create innovative, tailor-made solutions that push boundaries and, when it is the right answer, we develop entirely new materials from scratch.

Corian®

A composite of natural minerals and acrylic resin, enhanced with pigments for customisable colours and surface finishes. Three-dimensional processing allows unique textures. Resists scratches, impacts and stains; its non-porous structure prevents liquid absorption, avoiding bacteria and mould. Matte or glossy, any colour.

Micarta

Thermosetting resins reinforced with layers of fabric, paper or natural fibres: compact, solid, with a distinctive layered appearance. Exceptionally robust, highly resistant to scratches, moisture and heat, ideal for intensive and long-lasting applications. Non-porous, hygienic, available in many colours and textures.

Pakkawood

Thin layers of natural wood impregnated with phenolic resins, compressed under high pressure and heat: water and moisture resistant, with superior dimensional stability. Harder and more rigid than untreated wood, it keeps the natural look and texture, and the layers can be dyed for unique colours.

PaperStone®

Eco-friendly composite made primarily from recycled paper layers bonded with natural or low-impact resins, manufactured in the USA. Resembles stone or concrete, high density, resistant to high temperatures, water resistant and easy to clean. Sleek black aesthetic, dishwasher safe, food-safe rubber feet.

VittEr®

Eco-friendly composite made in Italy from FSC-certified paper, free of glues, resins and plastic derivatives, formaldehyde-free. Smooth or textured, it mimics stone or marble while being lighter and easier to work. Completely waterproof, resistant to bacteria and mould, dishwasher safe, 15 colours.
